Cuban singer and musician Yulien Oviedo has voiced his anger and sorrow following the arrest of Damián Valdes, who is accused of killing José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, better known in the music scene as El Taiger. Oviedo, a prominent figure in Cuba's urban music landscape, shared a passionate message on his Instagram stories, condemning Valdes and reflecting on the devastating impact of this tragedy.

"Countryman killed countryman. It's a harsh truth, and even though justice can't bring back our beloved José, at least let that SOB rot in prison for leaving four kids without a father," Oviedo wrote in his post.

Caution in Choosing Friends

Oviedo also emphasized the need for caution when selecting friends in an artistic and social environment that he believes can be filled with individuals with bad intentions. Known for his direct style and unfiltered opinions, Oviedo did not hold back his disdain for Valdes, using strong language to express his feelings.

"You piece of crap, you don't deserve to live, you bastard," he added, showcasing his deep contempt for the person he considers responsible for a tragedy that has left the Cuban artistic community in shock.

A Stark Warning to Fellow Artists

The singer concluded his message with a warning to his peers: "Learn to choose friends wisely, don't let just anyone in, not everyone comes with good intentions." These words reflect Oviedo's concern about the environment surrounding many artists, which, in his view, can lead to tragic consequences if precautions aren't taken.

The news of El Taiger's death has shaken fans and fellow musicians, who are struggling to come to terms with the loss of one of Cuba's most beloved urban music figures. The investigation is ongoing, while Oviedo's message continues to resonate among his followers and across social media.

Valdes' Arrest and the Continuing Investigation

Miami police confirmed that Damián Valdes-Galloso was responsible for the shooting that claimed El Taiger's life. After being apprehended in New York, Valdes will be transferred to Miami-Dade to face charges. Police Chief Manuel Morales stated that video evidence exists and dismissed rumors of torture, asserting it was a murder that occurred in Hialeah.

El Taiger, an iconic figure in the cubatón genre, was found dead in a vehicle outside the Jackson Memorial Hospital. The community remains in shock over this heinous crime.
