L Kimii Pays Tribute to Centro Habana Neighborhood with New Album "Palositio"

Thursday, October 31, 2024 by Grace Ramos

Cuban reggaeton artist L Kimii is gearing up to release his latest album, a project that serves as a nod to the Centro Habana neighborhood where he grew up: Los Sitios. "We've got a name for the album, 'Palositio,' and with Dj Conds on the music, it's going to be amazing. El Yordy DK – I said it's going to be some real fire music! We're dropping a teaser on Friday, stay tuned," the singer announced on his Instagram account, accompanied by several photos.

Throughout his career, the Cuban reggaeton star has often spoken about the significant role this neighborhood played in shaping him as a person. It was in Los Sitios where L Kimii and his mother sold mayonnaise cookies to earn a living. Despite some labeling the area as a "bad neighborhood," he learned invaluable life lessons from its streets and its people.

This influence is so profound that L Kimii frequently references Los Sitios in his music. In this upcoming album, he reunites with El Yordy DK, with whom he formed a duo until their split in March 2022. Now, with El Yordy DK based in Miami, their careers have intersected once again. On social media, L Kimii announced the release of a new track, "Rico Rico," featuring El Yordy DK and Dj Conds, which appears to be one of the songs on this album.
