On Tuesday, social media buzzed with reports that the individual of interest in the case of the late Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger is now reportedly in police custody. The news was shared by Cuban-American radio personality Enrique Santos in a post on his Instagram profile.
"Damián Valdez-Galloso, the man sought by Miami police in connection with the murder of Cuban singer El Taiger, is in custody. More details coming soon," Santos announced.
Teresa Padrón, the reggaeton star's manager, expressed her relief on her Instagram stories, saying, "God, you are great." The post sparked numerous reactions from the artist’s colleagues and fans, who are hopeful for swift justice in his murder case.
As of now, Miami police have not released an official statement regarding the arrest. However, they have consistently identified Damián Valdez-Galloso as a person of interest in their ongoing investigation.
Last week, Miami Police Chief Manuel A. Morales mentioned in an interview that significant progress had been made in solving El Taiger's death, and he anticipated a resolution to the case soon.
