Cuban reggaeton artist Jacob Forever recently took to his Instagram stories to express his worries about the diminishing uniqueness in live music performances. In his post, he highlighted that although it's beneficial for musicians to earn more, the downside is that many live bands are beginning to sound eerily similar.
"Musicians are losing their exclusivity more and more; it's great that they make more money, but obviously it's coming at the cost of uniqueness," Jacob commented. He went on to explain that this trend is compromising the authenticity of live performances, as numerous groups now sound alike.
Observations on the Music Industry
Jacob Forever, born Yosdany Jacob Carmenates, wrapped up his message with a respectful tone, clarifying that his remarks were not intended as criticism but rather as an observation. "I leave this thought with you, always with much respect, blessings and regards," he concluded.
As one of the most prominent Cuban artists, Jacob Forever uses his social media platforms to share not only his music and ongoing projects but also his insights on his career and the music industry as a whole.
