The esteemed Cuban actress Diana Rosa Suárez has been discharged from the hospital following a heart attack she suffered in Guyana at the end of September. This news was shared by Carlos Lino Castellón Brito, the administrator of the Facebook group "Unforgettable Cuban Actors."

On Saturday, September 28, while in Havana, Diana Rosa experienced severe chest pain and was taken to the Cardiology Institute Hospital. There, doctors identified the issue and advised hospitalization. However, Julita Osendi, a sports journalist and friend of the actress, explained that Suárez refused admission due to her scheduled flight to Guyana.

Suárez subsequently traveled to the South American nation for a visa appointment at the United States Embassy. While in Guyana, medical professionals confirmed that in addition to her recent heart attack, she had suffered a similar cardiac incident three months earlier. As a result, she was advised to take a month of complete rest.

A Special Visit and Support

The Cuban Embassy in Guyana reported that the actress was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital. During her stay, she received a visit from the Cuban ambassador, who assured her that her health would be monitored closely by the embassy staff.

Known for her iconic roles, such as "The Fox's Bride" and other memorable characters, Diana Rosa Suárez was in Guyana to attend her visa appointment at the U.S. Embassy. The visa would allow her to reunite with her grandchildren and nieces living abroad.
