The well-known Cuban host, Alexander Otaola, has once again become a topic of discussion after the hefty price tag on his new luxury property in Melbourne, Florida, was revealed. The news has sparked a buzz across social media, drawing comments from both fans and critics about his substantial investment.

While Otaola had previously informed his audience about purchasing a beachfront home, the exact figure of $2.3 million was disclosed only recently. According to real estate platform Zillow, the property boasts six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and three additional apartments that Otaola rents out via Airbnb.

This oceanfront estate is seen as a strategic addition to Otaola's growing portfolio, complementing the ranch he already owns, where he produces his widely followed social media programs. With this acquisition, Otaola has added another gem to his real estate collection, stirring a wide range of reactions.

An Irreverent Response to Critics

In his signature cheeky style, Otaola remarked, “To those who criticized me for buying a ranch, you must be suffering even more now because I also own my own beach.” His announcement did not go unnoticed, drawing praise from many supporters who congratulated him and expressed interest in booking stays at his new property. Meanwhile, some of his staunchest detractors voiced their discomfort with Otaola's increasing wealth.

This purchase not only underscores Otaola's financial success in the United States but also solidifies his status as a figure who consistently stirs controversy and remains a significant presence in the Cuban media landscape.

From Humble Beginnings to Media Sensation

Born in Camagüey, Otaola embarked on his artistic journey at the age of 10. In the late 1990s, he moved to Havana, and by 2003, he settled in Miami after winning the visa lottery, known in Cuba as "el bombo." In South Florida, he gained fame through his character Carlos Recto on Mega TV's "Esta Noche Tu Night," hosted by Alexis Valdés. He later hosted his own controversial interview show, "Paparazzi TV."

In 2017, Otaola ventured into social media with his YouTube program, "Hola Ota-Ola!," which continues to be the most-watched and followed internet show among the Cuban community.
