A young Cuban, who has gained popularity on social media as Rutina from Cayo Hueso, recently led a touching tribute to El Taiger with other children from his neighborhood. Each child adopted the persona of a well-known Cuban urban music artist and gathered in a single location, organized by one of their peers.
Rutina chose to represent Alexander Delgado, while other kids took on the identities of Jacob Forever, Nando Pro, Jorge Junior, El Taiger, Damián, El Chacal, Yakarta, El Micha, Yomil, and Srta Dayana. The gathering was set against a backdrop of music from these artists, whose tracks are considered classics within Cuban reggaeton.
The video of the event revealed that the child portraying El Taiger had summoned the group, explaining, "I called everyone here because I wanted to say goodbye to all my friends." This heartfelt gathering coincided with El Taiger's final farewell, held this past Friday at El Sauce Cultural Center in Havana.
As a testament to the late reggaeton artist's impact, dozens of Cubans accompanied his ashes to Colón Cemetery, singing his hit songs along the way, creating a poignant farewell to a beloved figure in Cuban music.
