Cuban singer Jorge Junior has revealed his plans to return to Cuba, accompanied by the remains of his cousin, fellow musician José Manuel Carvajal, who was known in the music world as El Taiger. In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, the leader of the band Los 4 announced that he would be traveling back to the island today. He also extended an invitation to El Taiger's fans in Cuba to attend a farewell gathering this afternoon at the El Sauce Cultural Center.
"We'll be at El Sauce from around 5 or 6 PM for anyone who wishes to stop by and say their final goodbyes. Feel free to come, and we will bid him farewell. Afterward, he will be with his mother and father," Jorge Junior stated, urging friends and fans of El Taiger to join them in Havana for the farewell.
With a voice tinged with emotion, Jorge Junior expressed the deep sorrow he feels over his cousin's passing: "This has truly hardened my heart, José Manuel, you made it tough for me."
Despite his grief, the singer expressed gratitude to those who have supported him during his time in Miami, acknowledging their unwavering support during such a challenging period. "Thank you to everyone here in Miami who took care of me 100 percent, without complaints. Truly, thank you for making sure I didn't feel alone, not for a single moment," he said in the video.
The late José Manuel Carvajal, a prominent figure in the Cuban urban music scene, recently passed away, leaving a lasting impact on both his fans and the artistic community. Jorge Junior will be responsible for transporting El Taiger's remains to Cuba, where they will be honored with a final farewell by family, friends, and fans at El Sauce, a significant venue for both the artist and his family.
