Oniel Bebeshito has responded to Jorge Junior's criticism regarding his collaboration with Lenier Mesa and Tekashi 6ix9ine on the track "Papita Frita," a tribute to El Taiger. In one of his Instagram stories, the "Marca Mandarina" singer made it clear that he doesn't rely on controversy to achieve success.
"For a year, three months, and a day, I've been the most listened-to artist in this country, with the top seven songs, and you've never seen me involved in any sort of controversy to gain attention or success. I haven't needed it, and I don't need it," emphasized the young reggaeton artist. "Everyone respects me because I respect everyone. I'm a great guy, a good son, a good father, and a good friend," added Bebeshito. He maintained a close friendship with El Taiger, with whom he had hits like "Marca Mandarina" and "El Punto," the last song released before El Taiger's passing.
Controversy Over "Papita Frita" Tribute
Following the release of "Papita Frita," which features an image of El Taiger with the Cuban flag in the background, Jorge Junior expressed his disapproval. He claimed it was disrespectful to the memory of his cousin. "My cousin hasn't even been gone a week, you know. He's still fresh in our minds, and suddenly it's all about what can be gained, what can be done, taking advantage of the moment," said the leader of Los 4, suggesting that the song was a way to capitalize on El Taiger's situation.
