Tributes to the late Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal, widely known by his stage name El Taiger, continue unabated. A Miami school recently joined in the commemorations for this beloved musician.
DJ IC3 shared a touching video featuring children, predominantly of Cuban descent, singing and dancing to El Taiger's well-known tracks. "A tribute to @el_taiger with the kids in Miami. One of the most cherished singers in Cuba and around the world. Rest in peace, El Taiger. The energy is palpable. Gives me goosebumps," she expressed on TikTok.
The video sparked emotional reactions, with comments such as, "How many Cuban kids there, my God? What a blessing, their parents made it happen," "First genuine video dedicated to El Taiger that brings tears to my eyes," "His true farewell," and "Incredible, I didn't expect these kids to know his songs so well. Impressive," among others, appearing on DJ IC3's social media platforms.
An Emotional Farewell
This poignant tribute coincided with El Taiger's funeral, held at the Church of San Lazaro in Miami. By the family's choice, the casket was open.
Following a private service for the artist's closest friends and family, a ceremony was held where the casket was opened, allowing all attendees to pay their respects and see the singer's face one last time.
