The Cuban government remains unable to confidently promise a complete restoration of the National Electrical System (SEN) by the end of Saturday, following a widespread outage experienced the day before.

Lázaro Guerra Hernández, head of electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), provided this update during his appearance on the Buenos Días program on Cuban Television. His remarks were aimed at informing the public about the status of the SEN's recovery.

"We anticipate improved electricity coverage across the nation this afternoon, thanks to the synchronization of thermoelectric plants with local microgrids," Guerra Hernández stated. However, he cautioned that there's no guarantee the SEN will be fully operational by the day's end.

This sentiment was echoed by Lázaro Manuel Alonso, an official journalist, who highlighted the uncertainty in his social media posts. The situation continues to develop, with ongoing efforts to resolve the electrical crisis.
