An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 was detected by the Cuban National Seismological Service network at 10:49 am on Thursday. Enrique Diego Arango Arias, the head of the National Seismological Service of Cuba from the National Center for Seismological Research (CENAIS), shared on Facebook that the quake's epicenter was pinpointed at 19.755 degrees north latitude and 75.987 degrees west longitude. The tremor occurred at a depth of 7.0 km, roughly 20 kilometers to the south-southwest of Santiago de Cuba.
