Tuesday, October 15, 2024 by Isabella Rojas

The outpouring of tributes to El Taiger has surged across social media following the announcement of his passing. Two young Cuban musicians, Zamir and Yilian, have chosen to keep the reggaeton artist's music alive through the soulful sounds of their violins.

The violinists posted videos on their social media accounts, performing some of El Taiger's most beloved songs. Zamir, with deep emotion, shared a video of himself playing "El Punto," the last major hit left by El Taiger for his fans. "I know you would have loved to hear this," Zamir wrote alongside his heartfelt performance.

"Taiger, you can't imagine how many people have asked me to play this song. Fly high, asere; I hope you can hear this in heaven and feel proud," he added, referring to his violin rendition of "El Sano."

While the reggaeton star was still hospitalized, Zamir also offered his violin version of "Papelito." This very song was chosen by Yilian for her own poignant tribute to the artist.

"Fly high, Taiger. We will always remember you through your music," Yilian expressed. Like many fans and followers of El Taiger, she acknowledges that his music is his greatest legacy.
