An unidentified man was stabbed on Tuesday afternoon in the Boniato area of Santiago de Cuba for reasons that remain unknown. Witnesses from the vicinity, as reported by journalist Yosmany Mayeta, suggest that the injured party "is likely a guard residing in the same neighborhood." The military officer reportedly suffered at least four stab wounds inflicted by a group of young individuals, according to the source.
The incident took place around 6:50 p.m. near the Boniato Bridge, situated in front of a medical clinic and not far from the high-security prison located in the area. Images shared by Mayeta Labrada depict an unusual and significant police presence, with numerous patrol cars and onlookers gathered at the scene.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was taken by local residents to the Saturnino Lora Provincial Hospital for treatment.
