In a tragic incident, a driver lost their life when their car crashed into a roadside barrier and erupted in flames in Matanzas. The accident took place at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, along the central highway leading to Perico, near the exit of the Sergio González village, also known as Tinguaro, located in the Colón municipality of Matanzas, according to a report from the Provincial Government of People's Power on social media.
The vehicle, which was the only occupant's car, collided with a lateral barrier, resulting in the vehicle catching fire upon impact. Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Emergency response teams, including officials from the Ministry of the Interior, the National Revolutionary Police, forensic experts, and the Fire Department, swiftly arrived to manage the tragedy.
