The Cuban Embassy in Guyana has released a statement regarding the health status of Diana Rosa Suárez, a distinguished actress. She was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital in the capital city after suffering a heart attack last Saturday in Havana.

According to a post on the embassy's Facebook page, Jorge Francisco Soberón Luis, the Cuban ambassador to Guyana, paid a visit to Suárez, who appeared to be in good spirits. The post noted that her condition is currently stable and assured that the embassy will continue to monitor her recovery closely.

Suárez, renowned for her significant contributions to theater and television, experienced the heart attack last weekend. Despite being advised to stay at the Cardiology Institute, she opted not to remain hospitalized as she needed to travel to Guyana to apply for a U.S. tourist visa, as reported by journalist Julita Osendi.

After her arrival in Guyana, local doctors discovered that she had suffered a previous heart attack approximately three months ago and recommended that she take a month of complete rest.

Iconic Roles and Personal Goals

Known for her unforgettable roles, such as "The Fox's Bride," Suárez was in Guyana to attend a meeting at the U.S. Embassy to process a visa. Her aim is to reunite with her grandchildren and nieces living abroad.

On August 30, Suárez celebrated her 80th birthday with a lavish party attended by friends and colleagues, including Tahimí Alvariño, Paula Alí, Verónica Lynn, Néstor Jiménez, Mario Aguirre, Héctor Noas, Miriam Socarrás, and Gretel Cazón. The event also featured presenter Marino Luzardo and singers Beatriz Márquez and Héctor Tellez.

Born in Luyanó, Havana, Suárez is a proud grandmother of two granddaughters residing in the United States.
