The investigation into the shooting of José Manuel Carvajal, known as El Taiger, who was critically injured after being shot in the head last Thursday, is ongoing. Currently hospitalized at Jackson Memorial Hospital, El Taiger remains in critical condition following emergency surgery.
Appeal for Public Information
On Friday, Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales addressed the media, confirming that the reggaeton artist was found on the morning of October 3 inside a car with a gunshot wound. Morales urged the public, "If you have any information that could assist us with this investigation, please call 305 579 6111. We need to uncover the origin of this incident."
Investigation Details Withheld
The police chief emphasized that due to the active nature of the investigation, no details would be disclosed at this time. "We do not have a description of any person of interest. Our detectives are working diligently with the leads available to get to the bottom of this case," Morales added.
Ongoing Investigation
"Given the severity of the injuries, we always begin investigations assuming the possibility of a crime," Morales stated. When questioned about the possibility of suicide, he stressed that no options have been ruled out. "We do not want to jeopardize the integrity of the investigation," Morales asserted, adding that should this be confirmed as a crime, the goal is to apprehend those responsible.
Critical Condition
Carlos Alfaro, El Taiger's representative, disclosed that the singer is in an extremely critical condition. "He has significant brain damage and is currently on life support. Without the machines, he is essentially in a vegetative state," Alfaro revealed.
The bullet entered El Taiger's forehead and exited through the right side of his brain, leaving him in a precarious state. The situation remains dire as the investigation continues.
