After nine months, young Cuban woman Karildi Marín remains missing in Havana. Her brother, Yoandri Marín, continues to post messages on social media, holding onto hope that they will soon discover her whereabouts.

Recently, the distressed brother marked Karildi's birthday with a heartfelt message, saying, “Wherever you are, may peace be with you. We love you so much. The greatest gift would be to see and embrace you again.” On the same post, he also remembered the anniversary of their grandfather's death, writing, “I miss you both and am grateful for having had such wonderful people in my life... I love you.”

Karildi, a 24-year-old resident of Párraga in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality of Havana, vanished on the night of December 14, 2023, after leaving for a party in Cerro. Since then, there has been no news of her.

Yoandri has frequently expressed his frustration over the prolonged uncertainty and lack of information regarding his sister's case. “Solve my sister's case; time is passing, and it’s not just one day since her disappearance—it’s almost six months now. We need answers,” he urged the police when the half-year mark of her absence was reached.

On Mother's Day, their father posted an emotional message to Karildi on Facebook, sharing several photos of her in her role as a mother. These included a picture of her when she was pregnant shortly before giving birth, and others with her little girl, who is now just over a year old.

Commenting on the police's inaction and the lack of progress in the investigation, he remarked, “I’m certain that if she were the daughter of one of them, she would have been found by now. This is Cuba; if you don’t have someone influential, you get nowhere,” he emphasized.
