After paying to see an artist perform live, it’s incredibly disappointing when they only take the stage for less than an hour and lip-sync the entire time. Several Cubans left a recent concert by El Taiger in Varadero feeling outraged. Although the exact date of the event wasn't specified, it appears to have been held recently. According to the audience, not only did he perform for a mere 40 minutes, but he didn't even sing live.
In a video shared on TikTok by the user Jesús de Cuba, the disappointing performance is clearly evident. "El Taiger making faces, because that can't be called a concert, with the microphone down and singing four songs while the back of the Varadero amphitheater is empty," he commented alongside one of the clips.
The footage shows recorded music playing in the background while El Taiger barely sings, merely engaging the crowd with phrases like "hands up" and "what's up Varadero." Another video captures the moment when audience members, at the end of the concert, begin to protest against the poor quality of the show.
Audience Reactions to the Disappointing Concert
"He lip-synced for 40 minutes," states the post, with people heard insulting him. "He didn't even say goodbye to the crowd, 40-minute concert, that's not right, brother," one person says, while another shouts, "El Taiger is a fraud," as security personnel escort them out.
Many netizens reacted to the video with harsh comments: "You’re the fools for paying to see that criminal and snitch"; "People pay to watch him lip-sync"; "He gave plenty of minutes in Sarasota, started at 2:00 AM and finished at 2:15 with the song ‘You Have to Pay to See Her,’ that was a scam"; "You’re even bigger fools for going to see that trash, I always say anyone who follows these so-called artists deserves this and more"; "Serves you right for supporting these rats, they're all the same"; "Why do people go see him, that guy mocks all Cubans."
