The third victim of an April car crash in Hialeah passed away on Tuesday at the hospital where she had been receiving treatment since the accident. Liliana Hernández Molina, 66, was the sole survivor of the tragic incident that claimed the lives of her 39-year-old daughter, Yarina García Hernández, and her 71-year-old sister, Gloria Esther Hernández.

Bob García, Liliana's husband of 43 years, shared the heart-wrenching details of his wife's final days in the hospital. "The pain will be everlasting, but what we're experiencing now is unbearable. I don't even know how I'm able to talk to you," he confided to Telemundo 51. "She was conscious, breathing, and when I asked her something, she responded with her eyes. That was our way of communicating because she couldn't speak due to a tracheotomy," he explained.

Family's Hopes Shattered

Gloria Esther's son, Smeider Rodríguez, expressed his hopes that his aunt would overcome the severe injuries she sustained in the crash. "After losing my mom and cousin, we at least hoped that my aunt would survive, even if with major limitations," he said.

Teenager Held Responsible

The tragic accident, which led to the deaths of the three Cuban women, was caused by a 14-year-old named Maykoll Santiesteban. He remains in custody after a judge denied him bail. On April 24, Maykoll took his parents' car without permission for a joyride with friends, and on the 400 block of Southeast 5th Street, he collided with the car carrying the three women, who were out buying food.

Police investigations revealed that the teenager was driving at over 80 miles per hour. Due to the severity of the offenses, he will be tried as an adult. "These three women deserve justice, and so does our family, who have lost them. Our relatives in Cuba also deserve justice, and we will fight for that from here," stated Osmeider Rodríguez.
