A modern car was involved in an accident on the Loma del QueRequeté, along the road connecting the Cuban municipality of Rafael Freyre with the city of Holguín, after the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to social media reports.
Although details are sparse, user Jhonny Ramón Sánchez Ramírez shared the incident and posted images in the Facebook group “ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!”.
Some commenters mentioned that it had rained, causing the driver to lose control of the car on a curve. Fortunately, the passengers only sustained minor injuries, and no fatalities were reported.
Recent Accidents Highlight Road Safety Concerns
This Sunday, a state-owned vehicle lost a front wheel and shattered its windshield, suffering significant front-end damage after colliding with a tractor's cart in the municipality of San Juan y Martínez, Pinar del Río. The car’s driver and another individual were seriously injured in the crash.
Additionally, last Friday, a bus belonging to the state-run company Transmetro overturned on the Vía Blanca in Havana.
