A state-owned vehicle in Cuba suffered significant damage after losing a front wheel and shattering its windshield in a collision with a tractor's cart in the municipality of San Juan y Martínez, Pinar del Río. The car's driver and another individual were seriously injured in the crash.
The incident was reported by Damián Sieres in the Facebook group "Automobile Accidents in Cuba," where he also posted photos showing the damaged state of the vehicle. Sieres noted that the cart couldn't be seen in the images because it was "further ahead, flipped upside down."
Impact and Aftermath
Due to the severity of the vehicle's condition, Sieres clarified in the comments section that the driver was saved from more serious harm by the airbag, as it was evident the car had struck the cart at high speed, with the most damage occurring on the driver's side.
One user commented, "Folks, but the roads are in terrible condition, and it seems that car was going at a good speed." Another person added, "In Pinar del Río, the streets are in pieces, but we're heading for more deaths and injuries," using a tone of irony.
Authorities on the Scene
Police and Road Assistance were present at the accident site to facilitate the removal of the vehicle.
