On Friday, Bahamian authorities repatriated 19 Cuban migrants who had attempted to leave the country illegally by sea. The group was flown back to Havana’s José Martí International Airport.
The Ministry of the Interior (MININT) shared on Twitter that this latest repatriation brings the total number of deported irregular Cuban migrants to 1,069, spread across 70 return operations from various regional countries so far this year. No further information was provided about the individuals returned to the island.
