With hopes of catching the eye of scouts and securing a new professional contract, Cuban player Pedro Pablo Revilla will showcase his skills to various Major League Baseball organizations in the Dominican Republic.

According to journalist Francys Romero on Facebook, the player from Guantánamo will hold a showcase on September 24 at Nova Academy in the city of San Cristóbal, in front of several scouts.

The first baseman—who also has limited experience in the outfield—has improved his physique and benefits from being considered an international free agent, given his 25 years of age and six or more seasons in Cuba.

Revilla, who has been associated with the Japanese organization Chunichi Dragons since 2022, added his name in 2023 to the long list of Cuban talents seeking better opportunities abroad. The Cuban Baseball Federation noted that after completing his season with the Japanese team, Revilla "advanced his departure from that country, contrary to the agreement with the club, and did not return to Cuba."

Revilla first made a name for himself in Cuban baseball after leading the home run hitters in the 61st National Series, with a total of 26 home runs. Before that, he had only hit nine home runs in four sporadic seasons. Additionally, he had a batting average of .313 and 55 RBIs.
