Monday, September 16, 2024 by Albert Rivera

A Cuban man in Miami who had no place to live and was sleeping in a park has just secured a job thanks to the support of his fellow countrymen who were moved by his plight. The TikToker Dairon Cano, who shared the case on his social media, posted a video in which the young man explains that several people have asked for the address of a friend who took him in to visit and offer help.

"Many people I never thought I'd meet have called to offer me help and work," he said. The young man, originally from Matanzas, expressed gratitude for the support and emotionally revealed that he has received "a bunch of job offers."

Dairon promised the young man that he would overcome his situation and urged people not to judge those who find themselves alone and helpless at some point. "You are not in that person's shoes, so let's have a bit more education, empathy, and kindness towards people. I am fine today, but tomorrow I could fall," he warned.

The influencer showed another gesture of kindness by taking the young man to eat at a restaurant in Hialeah. In another video, the young man recounted his story of how he ended up sleeping on the street.

From Homelessness to Hope

According to his story, he has been in the United States for almost three years, but his mother fell ill, and he lost his job. He had to leave the place where he was staying and had been sleeping on a park bench for three days.

"What I need is a job, even if I'm sleeping on the street, a job to get back on my feet in Miami or somewhere else," he pleaded. The young man clarified that he does not want money; he had been driving for two years and was already in the process of obtaining a commercial driver's license (CDL).

Dairon, who has become popular for helping fellow Cubans in difficult situations in Miami, asked his followers to contact him if they could offer the young man a job.
