Former U.S. President Donald Trump claims he emerged victorious in the debate against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris held Tuesday night in Philadelphia. Trump made his remarks via phone on the morning show Fox and Friends on Fox News, where he blasted ABC News, the network that aired the debate, stating it was "totally rigged."

The Republican leader pointed out that the journalists acting as moderators spent the entire time refuting his statements. "They kept correcting me," he said, before accusing Kamala of telling "blatant lies" without being corrected. "Many things I said were discredited, totally discredited. But she could say whatever she wanted. My things were correct, but they corrected you," he emphasized.

Trump has called for ABC News to lose its broadcast license due to the way it moderated the televised debate. "They should lose their license for the way they did it. I think they lost a lot of credibility," he added, noting that "they are the most dishonest, the most dishonest media, and that's saying a lot because they are all essentially very dishonest."

This was the first debate between the two candidates with less than two months remaining until the November 5 elections, and according to experts, it could be the only one.

Controversial Statements on Immigration

In one of his remarks, Trump caused confusion by claiming that immigrants are eating the dogs and cats of residents in border cities. "Many cities don't want to talk about it because they are embarrassed. In Springfield [Ohio], people who came are eating dogs, they are eating cats, they are eating the pets of the people living there, and this is what's happening in our country and it's a shame," he pointed out.
