Elderly Man Found Safe After Going Missing in Havana

An elderly man with nervous disorders who went missing from his home last Thursday has been found alive and is now back at his residence in the Diez de Octubre municipality of Havana.

The man, named Juan Miguel, was brought back by a police patrol that discovered him in the Vento and Camagüey area. The news was shared on Facebook by Jorge Luis Boudet, the son of the woman who takes care of the elderly man during the day until 5:00 pm.

"He went missing and suffers from nervous disorders, and has been without his medication since last night," Boudet had initially reported. Juan Miguel resides in the Santos Suárez neighborhood. He lives alone, and after his caregiver leaves, there is no one else with him. On the day of his disappearance, he was last seen around 7:00 pm.
