A Cuban woman who relocated to Spain brought along her seven pets: six dogs and a cat. Regla Doreste Reyes shared her story on the Facebook page of Cuba's Animal Protection Society to serve as an example and inspiration.

"To show that with sacrifice, we can help our furry friends, and if we leave Cuba, we shouldn't abandon them on the streets or give them away to strangers. They feel our absence, suffer, and get depressed," she affirmed.

Regla detailed her journey with her pets, noting that some traveled in the cabin while others were in the cargo hold.

"Many tell me I'm crazy; no, I would be crazy if I had left them to fend for themselves and not knowing how they would feel without me," she said.

The photos reveal that all the dogs are small: one is a Pekingese, and the rest appear to be Chihuahuas, and the cat is also small. The journey for small animals is cheaper than for larger ones.

She clarified that the procedures aren't expensive. "It's just about keeping the dog's vaccinations up to date, sending blood samples to check the rabies viral load to the country where they are emigrating, and complying with Cuba's border regulations," she explained.
