Several workers at the Carlos Marx Cement Factory in Cienfuegos were injured following a suspected explosion in one of the facility's units. The blast also left some individuals trapped inside.

The information was reported by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who suggested that the accident might have been caused by a boiler explosion. Reportedly, the explosion caused a hopper to collapse, trapping several workers.

Rescue and Salvage personnel are currently on the scene, attempting to free three trapped workers. Two ambulances are also expected to arrive to transport the injured to the Gustavo Aldereguía Lima Provincial Hospital.

The journalist also noted that authorities from the Communist Party in Cienfuegos are present at the hospital, and there is a heavy police presence.

On the Facebook group "360 Cienfuegos Compra, Venta Cuba," a user confirmed the incident, stating that her son, a firefighter, was assisting the victims. Another individual mentioned that three injured people had already been brought to the hospital, but more are still expected.
