Santa Clara's Little League baseball team, the "Bombarderos de Santa Clara," will be welcomed back to their hometown this Monday following their participation in the Little League World Series (LLWS). Starting at 8:00 p.m., one of the main streets in the capital of Villa Clara will be temporarily closed as the team travels from the Che Plaza to Vidal Park.

These two locations are significant symbols of the Cuban regime in Santa Clara, and the public is being encouraged to attend this event. The young Cuban players concluded their LLWS journey on Tuesday, August 20th, after a surprising loss to the team from Matamoros, Mexico.

Despite leading by four runs to one in the final inning, the Mexican team managed to overturn the game in the last inning, winning 6-4 at the Volunteer Stadium. Two home runs, one with two runners on base and another driving in two more runs, dashed the Cuban team's hopes of advancing further in the Series.

On Sunday, the Lake Mary Stars from Florida clinched the LLWS title by defeating Chinese Taipei 2-1. Dominated by the Taiwanese team for five innings, Florida sent the game into extra innings while down to their final out and secured the victory in the eighth inning with a remarkable bunt. This win marks Florida's first LLWS championship after nine appearances in the final.

Earlier, the team from Venezuela, representing Latin America, secured third place by beating Texas 4-3.
