A young Cuban woman, Yilena Cepa, 18, from the municipality of Songo La Maya in Santiago de Cuba, has been missing for a week as of this Friday, with her family still unaware of her whereabouts.

The independent feminist platform Alas Tensas has amplified the case on its social media channels. Alas Tensas reported on Facebook that Yilena has been missing since Saturday, August 17, when she left her home to work in the city of Santiago de Cuba.

Last Tuesday, rescuer Aris Arias Batalla informed that her family is extremely worried about her disappearance and has made an urgent call to the community for assistance in locating the young woman.
