Jordan Díaz and His Luxury Car: The Olympic Champion Gears Up to Roar Through Spain's Streets

The young Cuban triple jumper Jordan Díaz, an Olympic champion representing Spain, is heading to the Paris 2024 event with an extra dose of motivation. Focused and physically prepared to clinch the gold, Jordan decided to indulge himself before fully committing to the competition. To do so, he visited a car repair shop in Madrid with a specific request.

The athlete entrusted his sparkling BMW 218i to the mechanics at Evetech Motorsport for some aesthetic tweaks and a bit of "tuning."

"A few days ago, Jordan Díaz visited us to leave his BMW 218i and modify its look and exhaust sound. Good luck tomorrow; we are sure you'll come back from Paris with something heavy around your neck," the shop's staff posted on their social media, sharing a video featuring the athlete's words.

In the Instagram video, Jordan explained that this was the first car he had bought since arriving in Spain in 2021, and it had only been in use for three or four months. According to Jordan, the requested upgrades would make driving his "toy" more enjoyable.

He also mentioned that he would like to have another, more "serious" car and confessed that his preferred model would be a Porsche Macan GTS. While the BMW costs around 40,000 euros in Spain, the new car Jordan desires exceeds 110,000 euros, nearly three times the price of the "little toy" he left at the shop.

"Congratulations on that Olympic gold, Jordan. When you left your BMW 218i with us, we knew you'd come to pick it up with a gold medal hanging around your neck," the workshop congratulated the triple jump champion. After winning the medal in Paris, he might be considering another triple jump, but this time with his wallet, to upgrade from his "toy" to his new "beast."
