In a commendable performance, Cuban diver Anisley García secured her spot in the semifinals of the three-meter springboard event at the 2024 Paris Olympics this Wednesday. The multi-time Central American and Caribbean champion earned a total score of 272.40 points, placing her among the top competitors, according to journalist Eyleen Ríos on social media platform X.

Known affectionately as "La Tuti," García achieved one of her primary goals, having secured her Olympic ticket just weeks before the start of the multi-sport event. However, her fellow Cuban competitor, Prisis Leidys Ruiz, was unable to advance, scoring 239.85 points.

With four competitive days remaining, Cuba has only managed to secure one gold medal, won by the exceptional Mijaín López.
