Several electric motorcycles were completely destroyed in a fire that broke out on Sunday in front of a residential building in Camagüey. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Yuancy Pichardo, a member of the Facebook group "Accidentes Automovilísticos en Cuba," shared multiple photos showing three motorcycles rendered unusable after being engulfed by flames. "Just a moment ago in Camagüey, a fire involving motorinas and a motor," he stated.

The incident occurred in the Previsora neighborhood of the central municipality. The fire was extinguished by firefighters, as seen in two of the images. Judging by the photos, many other motorcycle owners managed to move their vehicles away from the scene.

Over the same weekend, at least four motorcycles parked in a private garage in the Micro 9 neighborhood of the José Martí district in Santiago de Cuba were also incinerated after a similar fire started in one motorcycle and spread to others nearby.

According to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, the garage was primarily used to store electric motorcycles. A local resident recounted that the blaze left "four motorinas damaged because one exploded and the others caught fire," adding that "thanks to a nearby vendor who had an extinguisher, the damage was mitigated, preventing a worse outcome."

Another neighbor mentioned that more than 50 motorcycles, both combustion and electric, were stored in that garage.

Just days earlier, another motorcycle caught fire on Cruz Verde Polyclinic Street in Guanabacoa, Havana. The incident happened in the morning and took neighbors by surprise, as they didn't expect the fire to consume the motorcycle within minutes, leaving only a metal frame. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported, but the motorcycle was completely burned.
