The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has disclosed the 911 call made by the daughter of Cuban-American businessman Sergio Pino when a group of hitmen attempted to kill her mother this past June. On that day, the assailants broke into Tatiana Pino's home, who was in the midst of a contentious divorce with Sergio Pino. One of the hitmen tried unsuccessfully to shoot her. As they left the house, one of the gunmen pointed a pistol at the couple's adult daughter, Alessandra, outside the residence but chose not to shoot, as their primary target was Tatiana.

According to the recording revealed this Thursday and cited by Telemundo 51, the distraught Alessandra called 911 after the incident. "There's a gun, there's a gun," she exclaimed. The 911 operator responded, "You mean there's a man with a gun?" Alessandra replied, "Yes, he just pulled out a gun and they're still here. Please come here," she said, desperate. She later mentioned that only she and her dog were outside the home, but she believed her mother was the main target, who had just returned from church and was inside the house.

Details of the Chilling Plot

Recently, the FBI and the Florida Attorney General's Office unveiled the details of the horrifying plot allegedly orchestrated by Sergio Pino to murder his wife amid a tumultuous divorce process initiated by her in April 2022. Federal Prosecutor Markenzy Lapointe disclosed the investigation's findings, which culminated in Sergio Pino's suicide earlier this month at his beachfront mansion in Coral Gables, as the FBI attempted to search the residence and serve a warrant related to the murder attempt.

Pino had devised an initial plan to eliminate his wife before the divorce became finalized to retain his entire fortune. According to Lapointe, Pino hired two separate teams to carry out the assassination. A total of nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, and four have already been formally charged.

Among those in the second team, who received payment for their involvement, is Fausto Villar, a convicted felon who worked as a roofer for Pino. Villar has already been charged. Another implicated individual is Bayron Bennent, an assistant on a yacht owned by Pino, who is alleged to have sourced fentanyl that Pino intended to use to poison his wife.

Reports indicate that one of the teams was instructed to complete the murder before the next divorce hearing, with the promise of a $150,000 bonus if they successfully prevented any connection to the real estate mogul. The failed methods used by the conspirators included an attempted fentanyl poisoning, various forms of harassment, and a botched hit-and-run with a rented truck.

The plot reached its climax in June of this year when a group of hitmen followed Tatiana Pino to her home, where one of them attempted to shoot her. This incident resulted in Alessandra's recorded 911 call. Authorities have stated that they continue to investigate the case to uncover all details and bring the responsible parties to justice.
