The family of Dainerys Díaz Rodríguez, who has been missing since July 18, is in a state of desperation and is seeking assistance in locating the young woman, who suffers from several mental disorders. Posts by her relatives on social media indicated that Díaz, a 27-year-old resident of Guanabo, suffers from bipolar disorder and other associated illnesses, requiring her to take medication.

On her Facebook profile, her aunt Maritza Rodríguez warned that the young woman "has been missing since Thursday without any support from her family," and explained that despite her age, "she does not have the mental capacity to handle any type of situation." For this reason, she asked that if anyone sees her, "even if she is accompanied by a woman or a man, please notify the police or her family."

In the comments section of her post, Rodríguez mentioned that the young woman was heading to a store in Guanabo and that her cell phone "is turned off." Although she did not provide details such as the clothing Díaz was wearing when she was last seen, the aunt indicated that Díaz lives in Guanabo, in La Conchita, and provided several contact numbers: hers, 54142968 and 76990169, and the father's, 77990582.

Beatriz Díaz Rodríguez, another relative of the young woman, published a note asking for help: "She has been missing since Thursday, suffers from bipolar disorder and other associated illnesses, takes medication, please if anyone sees her, write or call: 54142968, 54310990. They say they saw her in Alamar, but it has not been confirmed."

In their distress, many Cubans are turning to social media to locate missing family members due to the absence of a state channel to make these cases visible, which are also not covered by the official press.

In recent times, requests for help in finding missing persons have become very frequent amidst a context of social insecurity due to the increase in crime in the country.
