An accident occurred this Friday in Santiago de Cuba, where an elderly man was struck by a motorcycle and had to be rushed to the hospital.

The incident took place near the Micro 9 Police Unit, and the man was taken to Saturnino Lora Provincial Hospital.

According to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, who posted photos of the event on his Facebook profile, the elderly man was loaded into what appeared to be a classic car, covered in blood and unconscious but still alive.

Although the identity of the injured man was initially unknown, in the comments section, a user identified as "Modelo Pa Rato Domínguez" revealed that the man is a relative of hers and that he is now out of danger.

"He is stable, thank God. He will be admitted due to a head injury, but everything else is fine so far," she said.

As of now, the causes of the accident remain unknown.
