This connection, operated by Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, will continue until September 4 and will offer a weekly flight every Wednesday, according to Europa Press. According to the airline's website, round-trip tickets cost around 700 euros, although many are part of tourist packages. "Our goal is to provide travel experiences that are both enriching and relaxing," added Serrano, an idea reinforced by Iberojet on the social network X.
The arrival at Villa Clara's main airport turned into a celebration, judging by the images posted on the social network Facebook.
In November 2023, Iberojet announced the cancellation of its flights to Cuba in 2024: "Attention travelers! Iberojet cancels its operations to Cuba and the last flight will be on January 10. If you have a flight booked with us, we recommend calling to verify your ticket and find the best solution for your trip," noted the agency Viajes On Time.
However, in June, the airline resumed its route to Santa Clara from Lisbon, Portugal. A total of 384 passengers arrived with destinations to Cayo Santa María, Cienfuegos, and Trinidad.
Additionally, Iberojet and World2Fly resumed their direct flights between Lisbon and Varadero, the main tourist resort of the Caribbean island, several weeks ago.
