The Jackal Defends Oniel Bebeshito Amid Controversy: "He's Not Like That"

Thursday, July 18, 2024 by Aaron Delgado

The controversial incident at Oniel Bebeshito's concert in Camagüey, where a fan attempted to hug her idol on stage only to be forcibly removed, continues to spark debate on social media and among fellow artists. Many have voiced their support for the "Marca Mandarina" singer.

One of the latest to speak out is El Chacal. During an interview on Destino Talk, he was asked about the incident. "First of all, I'm certain without a doubt that this young man is not like that. He wouldn't do something like that. He's a good person," El Chacal began, defending Oniel.

The Cuban reggaeton artist further explained that security personnel are often not acquainted with the artists they protect. "When you assemble a security team, many don't even know you. They're hired through contracts and they just do their job. Recently, at one of my concerts, a security agent asked me my blood type and if I had any allergies. In their minds, they are there to defend the artist. They have their training," he added.

"I'm not saying that what happened to the girl was right. Because a fan coming up to give you a hug and a kiss is one of the most beautiful things that can happen. The artist has nothing to do with it. These things happen, and they are uncontrollable," stated El Chacal, expressing his belief that the issue will be resolved at Oniel's next show. "He will address it in his next performance," he concluded.
