Miami Resident Criticizes Cuban TikTok Feuds: "Cubans Spend All Day Fighting and Undermining Each Other"

Tuesday, July 16, 2024 by Sofia Valdez

A Miami resident has voiced her concerns over the constant rivalry and conflicts among Cubans on TikTok, where many people utilize the platform to promote their businesses. However, user @thalia_hr points out that many are more focused on discrediting others in the same sector rather than on their own work.

"Cubans spend all day fighting and undermining each other. The pizza wars, jewelry wars, perfume wars, and let's not forget the battles over eyebrows and micropigmentation," Thalia begins in her video.

Thalia clarifies that she is not generalizing, acknowledging that there are Cubans who focus on their own matters and thrive. Nonetheless, she calls on everyone to concentrate on their own businesses instead of criticizing and discrediting others.

"They spend the whole day on TikTok undermining each other, saying things like 'I sell better,' 'my prices are better,' 'your certificate is fake,'" she commented.

The Miami resident highlights that the rivalry is common among both men and women, noting that many spend their day on TikTok criticizing each other over who offers better products or services, or questioning the validity of their professional certificates.

"Everyone has their own clients; there's no need to gain clients at the expense of another business. We're all Cubans, we're all struggling. Stop undermining each other," she concludes.

Many Cubans have agreed with Thalia, leaving comments such as: "That's exactly right, I think they do it to have their own Netflix series," "That's in Miami," "Exactly, you don't see other nationalities in these squabbles, I don't understand why we can't get along, good video," "I'm Cuban and you're absolutely right, 100%," and "You are spot on."
