Cuban Flex Takes On the Latest Viral Challenge: "Son Amores"

Monday, July 15, 2024 by Samantha Mendoza

Since TikTok user Lis Padilla launched her "tutorial" on how to dance "Son Amores," the video has become a viral sensation that many couldn't resist. The members of Cuban Flex were no exception. Initially, they followed Lis's instructions to the letter, but eventually, they ended up creating one of their own choreographies.

With such an entertaining instructor, it's almost mandatory to laugh at her gestures while following each part of the song released in 2003 by the Spanish duo Andy & Lucas. It's even more amusing when the dancers try to imitate her. When the urge to dance overcame the humor, Cuban Flex improvised one of those choreographies that make many wonder where they get so much flair and fluidity in every movement.

However, this trio of dancers wasn't the only group to join the challenge. From Greece, Alexander Delgado, Mily Alemán, and several friends also dared to take it on. Aly Sánchez and Alberto Sardiñas did their version at "El News Café" on Univision, following each step without a hint of embarrassment.

Spanish dancer Toni Costa was another who tried to choreograph this viral master class, although he ended up enjoying a good laugh.
