A Cuban store owner in Miami discovered a man robbing her business through security footage and promptly alerted the police, who arrived and apprehended the thief on the spot.

Rosailys Casas, originally from Bejucal, Mayabeque, is the owner of Rossy Supermarket, located at 3445 NW 27th Ave in Allapattah, a neighborhood in the city's metropolitan area. According to her account to Local 10, she woke up around 1:30 am on Friday with a "bad feeling" and decided to check her cameras. She then saw a man with his face covered by his shirt walking through the store, searching for money and stuffing items into his backpack.

"He goes straight to the register, took the money that was there, and had a backpack. He packed everything he could carry," she told Telemundo.

The police arrived at the store while the suspect was still inside; he was arrested without resistance. The thief was identified as Ariel Duvergel, 54, a homeless man with permanent residency in Norcross, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Authorities revealed that he had forced his way into the store by creating a hole in the wall of a neighboring car dealership.

The Cuban businesswoman believes Duvergel is the same man who robbed her store about three months ago, making off with $10,000 in cash, as well as cigars and medicines. "I feel that God was good, God helped me. Thank God it wasn't worse this time," she told Local 10.

"These small businesses are for living, but it's sad, it's hard what happens," she expressed to Telemundo.

The suspect is currently detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and faces multiple charges, including robbery, criminal damage, and grand theft. He appeared in Miami-Dade County criminal court and was given a $13,000 bond.
