Monday, July 8, 2024 by Alexander Flores

Although many called him crazy for wanting to bring a mixed-breed dog to the United States, a young man asserted that without her, his family and happiness would not be complete. For this reason, he welcomed her with balloons and a hat, just like a beloved family member.

"My family was already here, but the happiness was not complete because you were missing," wrote TikTok user @dabiel_barber while sharing a video of the moment his dog arrived in the United States. "Years ago, I promised you that I would bring you, and a promise, no matter what happens, must be fulfilled," he added.

To those who called him crazy for taking a mixed-breed dog out of Cuba, he responded, "But what they don't know is that this dog is worth a thousand times more to me than any purebred, because she is family and family is never abandoned."

He concluded with a beautiful message full of hope: "Nothing is impossible, my people. Never abandon a promise nor give up on a dream."

This is not the first time a Cuban has brought a pet from the island to the United States. Last February, a family received the greatest surprise when their pet, whom they had not seen for two years, arrived at their home.

The video, shared on Instagram, shows the joy of the couple as they open the door to see their dog, who had three balloons tied to her collar.

Recently, a young Cuban couple who visited the island to reunite with their family and pets returned to the United States accompanied by their dog Lenito. "A huge dream fulfilled, after all the emotions of traveling to Cuba, we were also able to return with our baby," shared Facebook user Dayana Viamontes, along with a short video showing various moments of the couple's departure from Cuba to their arrival in the United States.
