A 16-year-old Cuban teenager has been reported missing since she left her home last Friday. The young girl, Virgen Thalía Castillo Limonta, resides in the La República area on the outskirts of Santiago de Cuba with her mother and two younger siblings.

Her father, Erik Castillo Tamayo, and her stepmother requested that independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada share the case on his Facebook profile. According to them, the girl left home at 10:00 am on Friday, heading to the Chicharrones neighborhood for her grandmother's 67th birthday. She was last seen wearing black pants and a yellow blouse.
