Satellite images reveal the immense power of Hurricane Beryl, which intensified to a Category 4 storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale this past Sunday.

"Incredible satellite images of the fierce Category 4 Hurricane Beryl and its impressive yet dangerous eye currently approaching the Windward Islands," was posted on the X account of Weather/Meteo World, along with a video showcasing the hurricane's massive size.

On Sunday, a reconnaissance aircraft from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in the United States discovered that Beryl had strengthened, posing an "extreme danger" with maximum winds of 130 mph.

Impact and Trajectory

According to the trajectory provided by the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Beryl remains away from Cuba's coasts, while the Windward Islands, particularly Saint Vincent, the Grenadines, and Grenada, are expected to face the brunt of the powerful storm starting early Monday morning.

Meteorologists agree that this cyclonic system marks the earliest formation of a Category 4 hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic, surpassing Hurricane Dennis in 2005 by a week.

"Undoubtedly, Beryl will attempt to reach Category 5 status in the coming hours as it continues to intensify. An incredibly historic storm in nearly every sense. Residents in the southern Windward Islands should expedite preparations to completion in the next few hours. The monster is coming," wrote American meteorologist Michael Ferragamo on X.
