Thursday, June 6, 2024 by Henry Cruz

A Cuban who recently moved to Paraguay set out to explore the gastronomy of his new home, admitting that the array of new flavors has left him astonished. The young man, known as Harche Vlogs on TikTok, exclaimed, "God, how easy it is to make a Cuban happy!" in a video where he is seen tasting various Paraguayan dishes.

The three dishes that he sampled were chipitas, mbellú, and boríu casero, each eliciting genuine expressions of culinary delight. "Your mouth waters without even having to taste it," he confessed. About the boríu casero, he added, "Please, give me the recipe; I need to learn how to make this."

Recently, another Cuban admitted to being in love with Uruguayan food. José Luis Savio explained on Facebook that in his new place of residence, he discovered that there is a world beyond congrí and pork chops. "Let me tell you three things that fascinate me about Uruguay," he said, noting that he was unaware of their existence before and, therefore, had never tried them.

His first discovery was mate, a beverage to which he admitted being "addicted." The second was dulce de leche. "I don't know if it's good or bad quality because I like any kind." "The third, something very rare in Cuba, is the asado," Savio expressed, admitting that Uruguayans are "the kings of barbecue."
