The man accused of a double homicide last Tuesday in the city of Cienfuegos remains a fugitive. He allegedly killed his wife first, then a grocery store worker near their home.

The suspect is considered dangerous, and authorities urge anyone who sees him to report it immediately. "Family members of one of the victims have sent me recent photos of the Cienfuegos killer in hopes of better identifying him, as he could be anywhere in Cuba or even another country attempting to evade authorities," wrote Irma Broek, administrator of the Facebook group Denunciando Crímenes en Cuba, on Friday.

"We call on everyone, both inside and outside of Cuba, to share his image and report any sightings to authorities immediately," added the post.

The victims have been identified as Ailén Tartabull and Víctor Manuel Ojeza Alpízar, a grocery store worker known as "El Chino."

The double homicide, apparently motivated by jealousy, took place on Avenida 50 between 43 and 45, where the suspect lived with his wife. According to the most widely circulated version on social media, after killing his wife, the man went to the grocery store—seemingly located next door—and killed Víctor Manuel Ojeda.

The alleged attacker, who fled after committing the two murders, has been identified as Adrián Cruz. He has a young child with the murdered woman, who also had an older child from a previous relationship. Unconfirmed reports suggest that he had previously been imprisoned for another murder.

The suspected killer is reportedly well-off financially, owning a bar called "La Divina" and other businesses. "I’ve been told that this isn't the first time this man has taken someone's life. His first victim was also his partner, whom he brutally murdered, serving only six years in prison for the crime," wrote Broek in an earlier post.

The same post clarified that the two deceased had no romantic relationship and that the incident resulted from "malicious gossip."
