A Cuban security guard working for a private enterprise at the Santiago de Cuba Aquarium was critically injured during a robbery at the facility.

“The location, which is on a corner and is an old building painted blue, serves as a Freshwater Aquarium and also rents space to a private business that the criminals likely targeted,” stated Mayeta Labrada.

Details about what the thieves stole from the location remain unknown at this time.

Neighbors reported that the injured guard was found tied up and covered in blood.

In the comments section of the social media post, a user identified as “Hechavarria Ari Ariagna” claimed that the victim is her brother, Jorgen Armando Borrero Palacios, known as “Gallego.”

She described her brother as a “very noble and good person” who is currently undergoing surgery at the Military Hospital.

“He was severely beaten. We still do not know what they are operating on. His condition is critical,” the sister explained, calling for a chain of prayer for her brother.

She also urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the police to help catch the attackers.

“Please, Santiago de Cuba, let's work together to ensure that incidents like this do not go unpunished!” she pleaded.

In another post on her own Facebook profile, Hechavarria Ari Ariagna specified that her brother lives in Boniato. She emphasized that the attackers beat him mercilessly and tied him up like an animal.
