A desperate Cuban father has turned to social media, pleading for help to find his son, an 18-year-old with a disability who has been missing from his home in Matanzas for six days. Karen Fuentes López is autistic and has difficulty communicating.

According to Sixto Osvaldo Fuentes Guiardinu, Karen often leaves home for short periods but always returns without issue. This time, however, is different. "As of today, it's been six days since he disappeared," Sixto posted on his Facebook page this Sunday.

"Yesterday, I feared for his life, and today, I feel the same. I have no idea where he could be. Yesterday, the PNR (National Revolutionary Police) came and did everything possible with the canine brigade and their experts, for which I am eternally grateful," he detailed.

Karen resides in the Pastorita neighborhood of Matanzas. He left his home last Tuesday at 10:00 pm, wearing shorts and a t-shirt, without a backpack, water, or food.

The distressed father mentioned that the family is exhausted, but he keeps his hopes alive with faith in God. He provided his phone number, 52444949, in case anyone has information.

"I'm sharing the photo from the last activity he had with a group of autistic individuals and his psychiatrist. I desperately hope this ordeal ends well. Infinite thanks to everyone," he expressed. "He is the child in the red t-shirt holding a banner he made himself. May God watch over him," he added.
